Careers and Progression Manager (Maternity Cover)

37 hours a week

Maternity cover until September/October 2025

39 weeks per year in line with college term time

Salary: LLT Management Staff Scale Point 3 - 6 / £33,691-£36,503 (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our college staff community as our interim Careers and Progression Manager. Following a period of growth, the Trust is seeking to appoint a passionate and engaging individual to actively lead careers, progression and IAG services for our colleges, Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton and St Vincent Sixth Form College in Portsmouth

Leading the careers team at each college, you will ensure that staff are supported to provide the highest standards of careers and progression support and advisory services. The successful candidate will have experience of working in careers and/or student recruitment services and will have the knowledge and skill to be able to lead and deliver high quality careers provision for all members of our student community.

The Trust is looking for individuals who are committed to holistic approaches to support students' academic and personal development. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able work under pressure, be a team member but is also confident working independently with our students, staff and other site users.

The post will commence as soon as a possible once all safer recruitment checks are appropriate completed. All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure. Please refer to the person specification of the role for the shortlisting assessment criteria.
